Online SPECIAL EDUCATION School Curriculum

Sterling Academy offers online courses for special education school students in grades K through 12.  Students are required to take 4 courses per year, but may take additional courses, such as Art, PE/health, music, technology, world languages, computer usage, Bible, and other electives -- up to 2 full-year electives per year, if desired.  The standard curriculum for special education school students are similar subjects as the K-12 Curriculum; but special education students will have their own IEP (Individualized Education Program) tailored to each special student's levels, strength or bent.  For example, a special student can have lower language arts level, but with much higher math ability, and so forth.  Special students pending on their IEPs and levels, can take suitable Sterling Academy's regular K-12 core classes if desired:

Electives For Special Education School Students

The following elective courses we offer are specifically designed for special education school students:

In addition, special students pending on their IEPs and levels, can take suitable Sterling Academy's regular K-12 elective courses if desired.  For example, a special student can have lower level in core classes, but with much higher art, music or technology...ability or talents than non special education students.
