Not every high school student is cut out for success in a traditional brick-and-mortar school setting. It makes you squirm to sit in class all day. You’d prefer to keep working on something particularly interesting or challenging rather than adhering to a rigid class schedule. Your school doesn’t offer all the classes you want to take. Or you’re looking for a more accessible one-on-one relationship with some of your teachers.
Because Sterling Academy is entirely flexible, you can study whenever and wherever you want, as long as you have an internet connection. You set your own schedule, and you can work at your own pace. That enables you to zip through material that comes easily to you, and when you find topics or concepts that are more difficult, you can devote as much time as you need to fully understanding them before you move on. It’s all about you, not the rest of the class.
At Sterling Academy, we offer far more courses than you’ll likely find at your regular school, including an outstanding selection of electives. And because online coursework is technology-based, the content is diverse, delivered in interactive audio, video and text-based formats. Learning is more interesting because it’s more engaging.
But you’re never totally on your own. Online teachers are both guides and mentors. If you have specific questions about the material you’re studying or you want to explore something in greater detail, you can easily schedule a mutually convenient time to talk, one-on-one.
Students may enroll at Sterling Academy full-time to work toward a diploma from our school. Traditional students may also attend part-time if they wish to remain enrolled at their regular school but take specific electives or other courses their school does not offer.
Because Sterling Academy is a regionally accredited school, you can easily transfer the credits you earn back to your high school.
