How to Enroll at Sterling Academy

Enrolling in classes at Sterling Academy is much easier than most people think. Instead of driving to the school and standing in line like at traditional schools, students can enroll in our online high school by phone, speaking to our dedicated enrollment counselor, Carol Moser. It takes a lot of the headache away from enrollment and allows enrollment to be conducted like our online high school curriculum: from anywhere in the world and at (almost) any time of day.

Carol gets the enrollment moving forward in about 15 minutes, taking down basic information such as your name, address, phone number, email, student’s name and date of birth, grade, name of the last school the student attended, and payment information. After the registration fee and first payment (or full tuition payment, if the flat rate option is chosen) processes, you receive a payment receipt via email.

After the payment processes, Dulcita Bare, our Registrar and Student Advisor, will email you registration forms to print, fill out, and email back to Sterling Academy. These forms will help us acquire the student’s transcripts and get a better sense of what the student is looking for from our online high school program.

Once these enrollment forms are returned, Dulcita will contact the student’s prior school or schools to request transcripts. We then evaluate the transcripts against graduation requirements, and the student will move on to orientation to learn how to use the system, submit assignments, and contact teachers using our online communication system, which ensures that no email gets lost in cyberspace. Upon completion of orientation, the student can choose classes and begin working at any time. The best part is, because Sterling Academy is online, the student can literally log in between appointments, casting calls, training sessions, or other commitments to complete assignments from anywhere she has a computer and Internet connection.

We keep the enrollment process as simple as possible to ensure that nothing slips through the cracks and that all your questions are answered. We want the first experience, enrollment, to set the tone for your relationship and the student’s relationship with Sterling Academy. Our enrollment is open to students in all 50 U.S. states, as well as students who are living abroad. Enrollment is not limited to full-time students; we offer part-time programs as well as full-time online high school programs that meet transfer criteria to other high schools or for college prerequisites.
